This issue is caused by some other Author plugin. As far as I remember, this was caused earlier in some of my users websites by the Easy Profile author plugin. Please check if... -

By default Joomla article URLs will take menu item from one of the following in same order, whichever exists. - Single Article menu item- Category Blog menu... -

Joomla update issue was because of some issues at the hosting provider end. It's fixed now. Thanks all matters in this topic closed now. -

You need to setup your cronjob properly to execute the cron url.
