Surveys plugin settings will supersede all other settings. If you disable them no notifications will be sent. -

The featured questions visible on top of other questions when you are viewing the category listing page. However, recent topics listing pages do not list them on top. -

Set view topics permissions to denied and the category will not be visible to those users. -

Go to Extensions -> Plugins -> "Community Surveys - Surveys" plugin -> disable email settings here. -

Thanks, I had this problem too and this answer solved it for me. All the super admins were receiving notification mails and I didn't why, especially as most of them... -

Why not? profiles are public unless you restrict them. Use menu item to restrict if you do not want them public.
