The last screen shot is the Members_Group permissions on the actual survey Permissions tab. The start date and time defaulted to the time I created the survey which was early this morning. I just tried it again and got the same error.

You are not using latest version of CjLib component. Please check version, it should be 2.4.6.

Whenever I try to start my survey I get this message. Here is a screen shot: http://prntscr.com/aybybd The user is part of the Members_Group. In the global permissions I have: http://prntscr.com/aybyqi for the Members_Group, The access for the survey is Members_AL: http://prntscr.com/aybz3m The category AL is Members_AL: http://prntscr.com/aybzk7 The Survey itself has the following permissions for the Members_Group: http://prntscr.com/ayc01x The menu Itemid in the link is Members_AL as well. What have I missed?

I have tested it and found no issue. The url in the email sent to the author points to reports page. If he can access reports page, there shouldn't be any problem. So again, my doubt is the user was not logged before accessing the link.

I am travelling right now. I'll come back in 4 days. Could you please test it by yourself? I explained to you already the issue so i think you can reproduce it. If you find you can attach the fix here.  Thanks. Best regards

He should be able to view the results if he is the quiz author. Can you please send me your website details using contact us form to check it?

That means there is no menu items associated with the survey or category. Joomla will by default uses homepage menu item if none found.

The user received mail is the one who created the quiz but he doesn' belong to super user group. He belongs to publisher group.

For the Surveys component, a Global Survey URL sends the user to our home page with the survey on the top. How do I control this, I don't want the survey on the home page. I would like it to be its own page and I want the URL to be global, whoever has the URL can take the survey. thanks

It may be because you are in the super users group. Either way, you need to login before viewing the results.

    1) Please give create permission to your user group so that they can create their own surveys.  2) Not everything can be disabled. But you can certainly disallow publishing options by disabling them in Components->Community Surveys->Click on Options button on toolbar->Editing layout tab. Also do NOT give Change State permissions to user groups. 3) They can view contact groups and survey urls invite options. If you want to disallow some of these you need to edit the layout file and remove them. Edit components/com_communitysurveys/layouts/default(or bootstrap3)/invite.php All those options (except publishing, see pt.2) which you are referring to should be hidden manually by editing the form layout. components/com_communitysurveys/views/form/tmpl/edit.php

  • Maverick replied to the topic Method to insert one category's questions into a page.

    April 28 at 4:48 pm

So what I understand is you need to show some list of questions of a category in an article. For this you can use Community Answers module. The module will display list of questions which links to their own details page. You can display the module in any module position or if you want to embed module within article content you can do so with short code as explained below. https://docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F

View results permission allow you to view your own quiz results. If the quiz owner is not you, you cannot view the results. Also check if you are already logged in when you click that link.
