We are pleased to announce CjForum first release candidate. You can download the package from downloads section.

What's new?

Getting feedback from your users is now made much easier with new question types in Community Surveys. We are introducing 4 new question types to the no. 1 survey component for Joomla! - Community Surveys. Want to know more? Read below.

CJLib v2.6.6 or later is required to use these new questions.

Net Promoter Score

The Net Promoter Score is an index ranging from -100 to 100 that measures the willingness of customers to recommend a company's products or services to others. It is used as a proxy for gauging the customer's overall satisfaction with a company's product or service and the customer's loyalty to the brand.

A sample question is shown below.



Users who chose from 1 to 6 are called detractors, 7-8 are passives and 9-10 are promoters. The final net promoter score is the percentage of promoters - detractors. See the sample reporting below.


 

Drag & Drop Ranking

Ranking questions can be used to get feedback about the user's preferences from a set of products or services. Further you can add weights to each answer to effectively report the overall score.

Sliders

Sliders are easy to use tool for users to select their choices, be it a fixed set of options or a dynamic range. For example you can ask your users to choose the level of satisfaction from a range of 1 to 100 or you can ask them to choose the answer from a list of predefined answers.

Signature

Now you can take signatures from your users as their consent or agreement for your services etc. Users can simply use mouse to draw their signature or tap to draw on their mobile devices.

Details

Over the last few years, we are continuously updating our software with new features and enhancements. However, the major blocker in this process is the backward compatibility. We always encouraged our users to move on to the latest version of software on their servers, however, due to many other reasons they are still unable to upgrade their environments. With over 8 years of software development of Joomla! extensions, we supported thousands of our users who are still using outdated and unsupported versions. This requires a significant amount of effort in keeping compatibility layers to support older versions of the software.

However, things need to be changed over time, official support for PHP versions are now limited to one branch (PHP 5.6) and others are no longer supported by PHP team. So we need to look forward the future and end our legacy code to support new features.

We would like to announce that we will be supporting only PHP 5.5 and above versions going forward. We urge all our users to upgrade PHP 7 or later versions as soon as possible which is not only faster but also safer PHP ever.

Note: Joomla project will no longer support PHP 5 from Joomla 4 onwards (read it here: https://developer.joomla.org/news/704-looking-forward-with-joomla-4.html)

We are pleased to announce the Community Polls v4.6.0. This is a major feature release which includes few important changes.

  • Removed the support for image charts using pCharts library. pCharts library is outdated and do not support PHP 7. So we removed its support
  • Modern charts: A new charting option is provided which shows Doughnut, Bar and Line charts using chart.js library

Details

We are pleased to announce GPS Tools v4.1.0. Few new features were added in this release along with fixing bugs reported.

  • Now you can show and hide the individual track statistics on track details page. 
  • Another new option is added to show/hide total track distance and total track duration on tracks listing page
  • The track download file will have proper track alias name instead of random name
  • Configuration options are added to show/hide rating block on tracks listing page and author block on track details page
