We are pleased to announce the major update release for GPS Tools v1.5.0. We have rewritten entire core of the component to make use of server side gps file processing instead of client side, their by avoid downloading the gps files on user machine. This will greatly improve the page load time as there is no need to download the file to local computer.

Further to improve performance, we have removed heavy weight Prototype and MapStraction libraries and their by reduced about 250 KB of download data for every new request. This is a great milestone in improving the response time and user interaction.

The component fully make use of Joomla 1.6 ACL for better compatibility, so the permission settings configurration tab is moved to Option toolbar button.

Community Answers categories module for Joomla 1.6 is not available for download. This version is replica of the Joomla 1.5 version with the native support for Joomla 1.6.

The module supports form to ask question along with the category tree. The category tree can be limited to one level of categories or complete tree.

We are pleased to announce the stable version of Community Answers (v1.6.0) for Joomla 1.6 for immediate availability. The component is on par with the Joomla 1.5 version (v1.2.1) in terms of features and usage except the permission settings in backend. The permission settings tab of Joomla 1.5 version is removed to make use of Joomla 1.6 permission system. Now the tab is moved to "Options" button on toolbar. The component is rewritten on most parts of backend and front-end to fully make use of new Joomla permission system. We hope you love this component for Joomla 1.6.
