Since Joomla 3.7 custom fields are supported. I tried this out in my test environment. Is it supported by GPS Tools? While defining the fields I can not select the GPSTools... -

I just found the issue. The CjLib was not up to date. I have the download ID in it but it has not been updated. -

Hourly cron is what you need at present. Daily cron presently does nothing but it is meant for future development, for example to build daily reports for challenges... -
