A simple plugin can do the trick - subscribe global after a user signup. If you know the php stuff, you can add this in CA User plugin code. Otherwise wait for next release, I will add this option. -

I'm looking for the file (and location) to be able to modify the default settings that determine subscriptions to new questions/answers in the categories. Currently, once you register to CA, you need to manually subscribe (global, categories, individual toics) to get updates unless you un-subscribe.I would like to be able to have the default setting "subscribed" to either global or better still for all individual categories. So when you click on My Stuff - (My subscriptions, Categories and Questions) you see all the categories (without having manually subscribed to them)Is this something that already exists and I have stupidly overlooked? Or can someone guide be where to look to set this up? I believe this will greatly enhance the use of the product as currently the extra effort requered to subscribe appears to be a hindrance. I have created a link to the address of the "subscribe" button but although it serves the purpose, it also brings up an error page. Not pretty. Thanks! Lion
