This is the known issue with the slider plugin, it does not fire the update value event till you submit the form. For now, the only solution is not to set the mandatory... -

Here is a screenshot of the settings in component->flood control All the values are as per default intallation. I have not made any changes here. -

Never mind this. I cleared the server cache and browser cache and now it is displaying all sub-categories properly.
