  • can't assing poll category if the languaghe is not ALL

    hi maverick,

i have a wierd problem with tha languaghe configurations on CP.

my site is in hebrew & english but the polls are used only on the hebrew sections - all the menu items, polls, etc, are defined as HEBREW language.

but - when i set a category as Hebrew, it doesn't load in the category-choosing-dropdown, when creating or editing a poll.

when i set the category languagh back as ALL, it re-apears in the dropdown.

the polls themselves are set as Hebrew.

not sure if it's related - but i also have a small language problem in k2 - when i try to choose the Item's author in the back-end (on the item creation page), i can't do a search with Hebrew charachtars - only english. so maybe there is some site-width error that is messing up the Hebrew? not sure but thought it was worth mentioning.

can you please assit with this problem?

    thanks

  • Categories, a Favicon for each of them

    Hello,

I wish I could have a different illustration in front of each category titles of my forum. How should we proceed?

  • Category Groups

Hello CJ Staff! I've been playing around with the extension that there's a feature I'd like to request.

Currently, as you know, the software has Top Level categories, which are used essentially as section headers, and Forums. Subcategories inside of this can be displayed, but they're displayed as folders inside of a forum listing.

What I would suggest is allowing users to create a category group. If they have, for instance, 10 categories, they can group them into two groups of five top level categories each. Then, you can make a menu item link to a group, so that you could essentially have two different pages of different forums. This helps because organization through top-level categories is a possibility, but you can only link one top-level to a menu item at a time. I think it would be useful to be able to link to a group, so that multiple top-level categories can be displayed.

Let me know if this is possible. Thanks :)

  • Preselecting category

    Hi,

I don't want to use categories.

But the users are required to input one when creating a topic.

I could carry on with a default global category, such as 'uncategorized'.

Ideally I would leave it blank, but if not possible, how do I set the default category so that the user finds it already selected?
It's pretty annoying each time to open the drop-down dialog and select the (unique) category.

    Thanks

  • Show map witrh tracks on categpry page

I have menus that show the tracks for a specific country I have been to. I am using the category option for that purpose.

I would like to add the map showing the starting points of those tracks to the page. Just like it is done on the demo page for GPS Tools. The GPX tracks module is made very quickly and filtered for the category. According tot the documentation and one other question on the forum I could use the custom module position but I think this is not working.

Is this possible and if yes, how to achive this?

  • Updated to version 4.1.0 and all front end categories dissappeared

    Hi,

I have just installed the latest Community Surveys upgrade 4.1.0 and all my categories on the front end have dissappeared - it just displays the top level folder categories with nothing below it. I have tried recreating the menu link but still same issue. Have cleared cache etc.

In the backend the categories are still there.

    Can you help please

    Mel
