DMT direktmarketingtool.de GmbH replied to the topic Tags Behaviour: Is it possible to use tags in CA local?.
April 15 at 6:16 am
I know this. For a section of our page we have a modul, that limits the results of a search by category, keywords, description and tags to a category and all it's subcategories. We like to give the user this advanced experience in CA. That means: If the users clicks on a tag in CA he will get a result page with all relevant items in CA. If this functionality is not possible at the moment and not on the roadmap, we will have a view on it and think about, how to integrate. -

Nice to hear. I know this question is annoying: When do you will distribute the next release? Do you have a github repository, where I can access the latest files?I know deleting by an user is trashing. I think its irritating for a user, if he "deletes" a question and admin is republishing it. If the admin can't prevent the question for trashing it may become an endless replay (User deletes > Admin restores > User deletes > Admin restores ...) -

At the moment the global joomla tag component is integrated. If I click on a tag I get all results from my page back. Is it possible to use tags as filters restricted on CA or have a own result page in CA, where the results are limited to CA? -

Please clarify if this behaviour is correct or I made some mistakes in configuration. If it is correct, how can I change it:Access rights settings:- Usergroup A: Edit Own | Edit Own State- Subgroup A1: Edit Own | Edit Own State- Subgroup A2: Edit Own | Edit Own StateUser of A1 creates a question Q1: He can edit and delete it's own question (Tipp: Maybe it's helpful to open a popup "Deleting? Ok?") and can edit and delete his own replies. That's fine. User of A2 creates a reply on Q1: He can't edit and delete it's own replies. Is this right? How can I give him the rights? Is it possible that the user right settings will become global in CA. That means: If I give the user the right to edit it own items and state, he should do this on all his own items he has published in CA. Maybe it would be helpful to integrate a alert popup before deleting anything. This one-click delete is a little bit surprising... ;o) Best regards,Jürgen -

I wondered why logged in user can see edit and delete buttons, even if they are not the author of the reply. To allow only the author of a reply and the admin to edit and delete them follow these instructions: 1. Make a copy of "com_communityanswers/layouts/default/question/replies" 2. Change "edit":2.1. Search for line 163 - 69:if($params->get('access-edit')){ ?> | <a href="#" onclick="document.adminForm.cid.value=<?php echo $reply->id;?>;Joomla.submitbutton('reply.edit');return false;" class="muted text-muted"> <?php echo JText::_('JGLOBAL_EDIT');?> </a> <?php } 2.2. Add the green lines, so the code should look like this:if($params->get('access-edit')){?><?php if ((!$user->guest && ($reply->created_by == $user->id)) || ($user->authorise('core.admin', $asset))) { ?>| <a href="#" onclick="document.adminForm.cid.value=<?php echo $reply->id;?>;Joomla.submitbutton('reply.edit');return false;" class="muted text-muted"><?php echo JText::_('JGLOBAL_EDIT');?></a><?php } ?><?php } 3. Do the same with the delet section in line 209 - 215, it should look like this: ?><?php if ((!$user->guest && ($reply->created_by == $user->id)) || ($user->authorise('core.admin', $asset))) { ?>| <a href="#" onclick="document.adminForm.cid.value=<?php echo $reply->id;?>;Joomla.submitbutton('replies.trash'); return false;" class="muted text-muted"> <?php echo JText::_('COM_COMMUNITYANSWERS_LABEL_DELETE');?> </a><?php } ?><?php That's it, not the edit and delete link are only visible for reply creator and admin.Hope this will help somebody.Best regards,Jürgen -

I didn't find the setting to enable the delete function for attachments. How can I enable it? And how can users delete old attachments? -

Joomla always search layouts in following order. from my localhost debugging: Layout: default.toolbar Include Paths: Array ( [0] => /templates/protostar/html/layouts/com_communityanswers [1] => /components/com_communityanswers/layouts [2] => /templates/protostar/html/layouts [3] => /layouts ) So your layout file may go in /templates/protostar/html/layouts/com_communityanswers/default/question/details.php However if you want to rearrange layout of details, replies and so on.. you should override default template file i.e. components/com_communityanswers/views/questions/tmpl/default.php -

Crazy. The default structure in our template is: mytemplate/layoutsmytemplate/html and it's working fine in all the changes we did, except com_communityanswers. After we placed our changes in "mytemplate/layouts/html" everything is working fine. Many thanks, Jürgen. BTW: We are using templates and the framework of a well known company. ;o) -

I understood this. If I drop the changes, we made, in "com_communityanswers/layouts/default/..." all is fine and working. If I drop it in "mytemplate/layouts/" or "mytemplate/html/" in many combinations like "com_communityanswers/layouts/default/..." or "com_communityanswers/default/..." or "com_communityanswers/..." or or or We tried all possible combinations and in our full desparation we tried it with views, too.We tried it partially (only the affected blocks) and complete.We tried it with Voodoo, Prayers and Hope. We don't get the template overrides running. We made template overrides for com_search, mod_breadcrumbs, mod_finder, mod_search, com_config, com_content, com_osmembership (metadata tab) and many more. All are working fine. The only one, we have really problems is this one. Any help is welcome. We don't like to edit the corefiles, if it isn't absolute necessary. Thanks, Jürgen -

Thank you for pointing out that. We have dozens of template overrides implemented, the only one we don't get work is an override for com_communityanswers/layout/default/question/details.php Please, could you write down the exact path, just to clarify the situation. Many thanks! -

I edited the default_question.php, but it has no effect. Dropped it tocomponents/com_communityanswers/views/question/mytemplate/layouts/com_communityanswersmytemplate/html/com_communityanswers and at last I removed it completely. It has no effect.I want to create a own layout for the default question view e.g. place author, categories, creation date in the footer panel. Please give me a hint which file I have to edit...By the way, editing views/form/tmpl/edit.php and dropping it to my template overrides worked fine. Best regards, Jürgen
