Hello

I can put here a summary of all my topics that are normally feasible

I have created 2 Joomla users
testHD1 in the joomla group: "GR1 J test" with "GR1 J test access" access
testHD2 in the joomla group: "GR2 J test" with access "GR2 J test access".

1/ The main use will be the Sociable discussion group and member search by Joomla custom fields, hence the importance of v1.2.1 (https://www.corejoomla.com/forum/support/sociable/17571-use-joomla-member-profile.html) and link between sociable group and addition to the access of the corresponding Joomla group!

2/ There could be dozens of separate discussion groups.
Each member has access to one or more discussion groups.
I have not been able to implement the visibility of the group by the member either.
https://www.corejoomla.com/forum/support/sociable/17566-groupe-visibility.html

3/ Registration on the site is not direct/visible/selectable. It is a facilitator/friend who sends a url (linked to the group) that will allow you to register on the site and directly in the facilitator/friend's group and later in other public groups.
https://www.corejoomla.com/forum/support/sociable/17567-join-a-group-by-url.html
Again if you could set this up or tell me step by step how to do it?

4/ Does one of my requests depend on:

Regards

    Thanks for summarizing all requests.

    1. Joomla user component custom fields can now be used with Sociable. I hope this addresses the request.

    2. I am checking the issue and will update on it.

    3. This will be addressed when the point 2 will be addressed. The group page should redirect to login page for guests when the access level of the group page is set. Will let you know.

    4. I am working on this feature now.

    Hi,

    Ok if I understand well except for the 1/ (which I didn't manage to implement), I have to wait a little longer?
    Thank you for keeping me informed

    Regards

    1. This feature was already delivered in release 1.2.1.  All you need to do is go to the component options and change the Fields Provider option to Joomla Users.

    2. I have released version 1.2.2 to fix this issue

    3. Version 1.2.2 addresses this point.

    Hello

    I have created new Joomla fields (without being in a joomla field group). See attached images

    https://pic.infini.fr/LTMwnbko/DdufgAFA.png

    https://pic.infini.fr/67d8hw6M/r5Px8eN7.png
    5/ the fields are entered alone even if I change joomla's ACL rights. How to authorize the input since they are generic fields
    6/ is it possible to have fields in joomla field groups?
    7/ how to remove fields to go to external social networks?

    Thank you for taking these suggestions into account.
    Apart from point 4, I have the impression that everything is now possible with version v1.2.2.
    Can you configure me an example of each of these 3 points with the accesses that I gave because I unfortunately did not arrive there.
    Thank you
    Regards

    5. Did you mean the field's ACL is not considered?

    6. Yes, assign the fields to field groups and they will be shown on the registration/profile forms.

    7. I just created a new minor update v1.2.3 with an option to disable the social connection buttons. Please update it and disable the option in the component profile options.

    I will check and update the first 3 points on your site, will contact you for any information required.

    Hello

    5/ the editing of his profile by the connected member is not possible (see picture). I'm not sure if it's related to the ACLs?
    7/ sorry I disabled the display in the settings but in profile editing mode, I see the social networks input fields!
    Please let me know when you can finalize an example on each of the points because I don't see my mistakes 🙄

    for info, I wanted to see your test site of Sociable. I couldn't connect with admin/admin!
    Regards

    I checked your website and here are my observations.

    1. The super user group was not given permission for your "Gr Ch J test1" access level. But the field group "test1" was assigned to the access level "Gr Ch J test1". So the super user have no access to that field group. Subsequently, he cannot select that field group in Sociable profile. The only field group he has access to is "test2" which is selected by default.

    2. When you login as user1 with "test1" access but was assigned to default profile, the user cannot access the field group as it has access level of "test2".

    3. In your field settings, you have disabled "Show when readonly" option. So the inaccessible field is hidden in your profile.

    4. The only profile in your site has not selected as featured, so it cannot be assigned automatically when someone registers. So I changed it as featured.

    The Joomla! permission settings are very confusing when combined with access levels. You need to carefully design them or else you will never find where the issue is. I have now fixed your access levels and selected the correct field group in your default profile.  Please check and let me know if you have any more issues.

    Hello

    Thank you for adjusting the configuration. Indeed the joomla fields are now recognized in the Sociable profile.
    Unfortunately I still have an incomprehensible result.
    Here is the presentation which I hope will be more understandable even with the numbering of the groups.

    I/ All the registered members can use the customs fields of the group of fields "Common".
    * first name
    * About us
    * I am (male/female)

    II/ All members of the joomla group "test GR1 J" can use the customs fields of the field group "Gr-chJ1".
    * ch1_Gr-chJ1
    * ch2_Gr-chJ1

    III/ All members of the joomla group "test GR1 J" can use the customs fields of the field group "Gr-chJ2".
    * ch1_Gr-chJ2

    testHD1 is part of the joomla group "test GR1 J".
    testHD2 is part of the joomla group "test GR2 J".

    Expected results :
    testHD1 can edit its profile from the "Communs" and "Gr-chJ1" tabs.
    testHD2 can edit its profile from the "Communs" and "Gr-chJ2" tabs.
    I get something else. See screenshots

    If I understand correctly, I must also create the Sociable groups in connection with the corresponding joomla access as well as the Sociable "Profiles"?

    A few error messages when trying to
    E1) duplicate a group, I got the error:
    "Missing field in database: SociableTableGroup   catid."

    E2)reorganize the list of profiles and put "common" first
    "500 JHtml draggablelist not found. "
    I can't access the "Profiles" tab anymore!!

    If you could take a look?
    Regards

    There are two problems observed.

    1. You have not selected the comms field group in either of the profiles. So the field group was not showing. I added the field group to the profiles.

    2. You have assigned hd1 profile to the user hd2. So he cannot access the hd2 profile fields. I changed the user profile to hd2 now.

    Bugs:

    I fixed them and applied the patches on your site.
